Our Teams at Denali Cheer

Recreational Teams
The recreational teams are our cheer teams designed for entry-level cheerleaders. These classes practice only once a week and there is no travel or competition involved. Classes are month-to-month and there is no cost besides tuition and registration fees.

Competition Teams
The Denali competition teams require a full year commitment (June 08-April 09). Mid season tryouts will not be available to past team members. Only new students will have the opportunity to be placed on existing teams.

We believe our competition team program provides you the best experience for your money. From our fantastic facility and highly trained coaches, to our choice of competitions, uniforms, and professional choreographers… no other all-star program around gives you more value for your money. The difference in cost between our program and others is not what you might expect. When you add up all the costs that are charged separately at other gyms, you may actually spend less here at Denali. Other gyms may advertise a lower “tuition” rate, but charge more per hour for actual gym time and also require additional payments of significant extra amounts throughout the year. We will be using an all-inclusive level-pay system, so our parents will have a budget that does not fluctuate significantly between months and allows for quick and easy payment.

Denali All Stars
Age range: (12-18 yrs.)
Commuter team that practices in both Anchorage and Wasilla
Coaches: Leon Reynolds, Sandy Reynolds, Dan Piaskowski

The Denali All Stars is an invitation-only, Senior Limited Coed Large Advanced competition team. This team practices for 3.25 hours, twice a week. This Senior team travels to 2 national events a year as well as the cheerleading world championships. They will also attend all in-state competitions. This team has been featured on national television as well as numerous magazines and advertisements. Team placement is based on age and abilities. 

All-inclusive price*: $225 per month (11 payments, June - April)

Denali Shooting Stars
Age range: (14 yrs. and under)
Commuter team that practices in both Anchorage and Wasilla
Coaches: Leon Reynolds, Dan Piaskowski, Annie Afusia

The Denali Shooting Stars is an invitation-only, Level 4 Junior competition team. This team practices for 2 hours, twice a week with a separate 1-hour tumbling practice. This junior team travels 2 times out-of-state during the main competition season and attends all in-state competitions. Team placement is based on age and abilities.

All-inclusive price*: $210 per month (11 payments, June - April)

Denali Shining Stars
Age range: (12-18 yrs.)
Commuter team that practices in both Anchorage and Wasilla

The Denali Shining Stars is an invitation-only, Level 4 Senior competition team. This team practices for 2 hours, twice a week. They compete at 3 in-state competitions. They will also attend 1 national-travel competition in March. Initial team placement is based on age.

All-inclusive price*: $200 per month (11 payments, June - April)

Denali Dazzling Stars
Age range: (14 yrs. and under)
Separate teams in both Anchorage and Wasilla

The Denali Sparkling Stars is an invitation-only, Level 3 Junior competition team. This team practices for 2 hours, twice a week. They compete at 3 in-state competitions. They will also attend 1 national-travel competition in March. Initial team placement is based on age.

All-inclusive price*: $200 per month (11 payments, June - April)

Denali Rising Stars
 Age range: (11 yrs. and under)
Separate teams in both Anchorage and Wasilla

The Denali Rising Stars is an invitation-only, Level 3 Youth Coed competition team. This team practices for 2 hours, twice a week. They compete at 3 in-state competitions. They will also attend 1 national-travel competition in March. Initial team placement is based on age.

All-inclusive price*: $200 per month (11 payments, June - April)

Little Dippers
 Age range: (5 yrs - 8 yrs)
Anchorage Based Team

The Denali Little Dippers is an invitation-only, Level 2 Mini Coed competition team. This team practices 1 1/5 hours, twice a week. They compete at 3 in-state competitions. They also have the opportunity to perform at many exhibition performances. Initial team placement is based on age.

About All-inclusive Pricing
 At Denali, we strive to be up-front with our prices. Our all-inclusive price covers most of the in-state expenses that we can predict throughout the year and includes tuition, coaches fees, practice clothes, practice bag, competition makeup, Denali Cheer summer camp, in-state competition entry fees, cheer routine choreography and professional music.

*Our All-Inclusive Pricing excludes in-state and national travel expenses, national competition fees, annual registration fee, uniform expense, warm-ups expense, cheer shoes, and sales tax (where applicable).
