| Frequently Asked Questions ~ Denali Cheer
Does Denali have team members from the Anchorage and
Eagle River area?
We are very pleased to currently have members in every one of our teams from
both Anchorage and Eagle River. In order to help alleviate the drive time associated with practices, we can help you to set up a carpooling schedule with available parents.
Carpooling greatly decreases the amount of time each parent or athlete spends behind the wheel and helps to save on gas money. Please contact
our Program Director, Leon
Reynolds, for additional details.
Is there a dress code for practices?
During regular practices all that is required is a pair of shorts, a t-shirt or tank top, and a pair of cheerleading shoes. Please no string tank tops or short shorts. Clothes should be comfortable to move in and modest fitting.
Do athletes on the teams have to attend all of the practices?
Expectation for class attendance and participation is very high. If there is a problem participating, then your child may be removed from the class or team. Many of our classes have waiting lists and it is unfair to hold an empty spot when there are others trying to get in. If there is a long term injury or illness, we may be able to hold your spot until you can return to classes, but that will be judged on an individual basis.
Does Denali Cheer offer any auxiliary clinics?
Auxiliary clinics for your team are available at your gym or at
the Denali Cheer facility. Please visit the Instruction
information section for additional details.
Does Denali Cheer offer any supplemental training?
Private training is available with the coach of your choice depending on availability. Prices vary depending on
the duration and whether there are additional athletes attending
(semi-private training.)
If I want to leave the program, is there a drop policy?
A 2-week drop notice is required in writing from any team member
that wishes to withdrawal from class. This allows us adequate time to fill their
position on the team.
